The center also offers the services of Ultrasound, Computed Tomography and MRI. At the end of 2004, the Center was selected by FAPESP (São Paulo Research Foundation) to host a Research Center on MRI. The presentation of 23 pre-projects motivated the installation of a high-field equipment with 3T (Tesla – magnetic induction and magnetic flux density measurement), provided by FAPESP, for the initial research aimed at the improvement of diagnosis, prevention and treatment of epileptic disorders.
The Cardiology Center performs numerous activities for diagnosis and treatment of virtually all diseases of the cardiovascular system.
