Health Technology Assessment Center

The HCFMRP-USP is integrated into the Brazilian Network for Health Technology Assessment (REBRATS) and has a Health Technology Assessment Center (NATS), whose goal is to disseminate the Health Technology Assessment (ATS), through decision-making regarding the inclusion of new technologies and evaluation of diffused technologies, aiming at their rational use and patient safety.

Brazilian Network for the Evaluation of Technologies in Health

The Health Technologies Assessment Center – NATS, created by Ordinance HCRP No. 67/06, promotes technical skill in health technology assistance; develops actions for the permanent training of professionals and technicians; encourages and produces research aimed at the use of scientific evidence in decision-making; proposes clinical guidelines to the hospital, in line with the Unified Heath System needs; encourages and trains tutors to guide students and health professionals to carry out teaching and research activities focused on the evaluation of health technologies; sensitizes and encourages professionals in the culture of Health Technology Assessment; and fosters the articulation between teaching and service in the area of Health Technologies Assessment and Evidence-Based Health.
